Learn With LimbTech

LimbTech is committed to preparing the next generation of occupational therapy professionals. We offer comprehensive fieldwork experiences for OTD, MSOT, and OTA students, with both in-person and telehealth opportunities available to students across the country.

Our outpatient practice specializes in seating, positioning, and mobility across the lifespan. Students gain hands-on experience while developing clinical reasoning, documentation, professionalism, telehealth skills, and an understanding of the business and advocacy sides of occupational therapy.

In Their Words

Emily Cavallaro, OT/S
Thomas Jefferson University

“In just 12 weeks, I’ve noticed profound professional and personal growth. Amy and Kendell know how to push students to their ‘just-right challenge’ while remaining readily available for support. LimbTech helped me grow in critical reasoning, confidence, leadership, communication, and advocacy.”

Dr. Sukanta (Suki) Nelson, OTD, OTR/L
Creighton University

“My time at LimbTech was where I found the confidence in what defines my identity as an OT. Dr. Amy Siegler and her team welcomed me with open arms and facilitated my learning throughout my 12-week rotation. I grew tremendously in documentation, ethical billing, telehealth, writing letters of medical necessity, working alongside assistive technology professionals, and understanding durable medical equipment. Although LimbTech was a nontraditional fieldwork setting, I truly believe I am a better therapist because of my experience there. I believe in LimbTech’s mission and trust the team to provide the necessary and ethical care to the population they serve.”

Creighton University

“My fieldwork experience at LimbTech was so unique from my other rotations and was a great opportunity for me to grow as a future occupational therapy practitioner. I learned so much about mobility and adaptive equipment, numerous chronic conditions, insurance reimbursement, and documentation. By the end of my rotation, I felt I had grown tremendously in my evaluation skills and my ability to write a thorough letter of medical necessity. I enjoyed working as part of a team every day and learning from others. Thank you to Amy, Kendell, and Lauren for supporting my growth as a student with LimbTech.”

Dr. Ariel Miller OTD, OTR/L
Huntington University

“My experience at LimbTech was truly transformative and played a pivotal role in shaping me into a more confident, skilled, and compassionate occupational therapist. I gained invaluable experience in seating and mobility, as well as teamwork, documentation, telehealth, grant writing, and the many aspects of running a practice. I’m especially grateful for the mentorship I received from Amy and Kendell, whose support and guidance have continued long after my time at LimbTech. Their passion for their work and the patients they serve is truly inspiring, and I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from them while serving underserved populations in need.”
